Fitting In By Jinaya Houston

Sometimes kids in high school are so worried about fitting in, that they don’t realize that having a small group of friends can be better than having a big group of friends. “Sometimes your circle decreases in size but increases in value.” When you try really hard to make friends you can sometimes lose sight of the ones you really need. Often times kids want to have the biggest group of friends and they will feel like they are really popular. The truth is, you shouldn’t care what anyone thinks, you just do you. Dress how you want to dress, eat what you want to eat (make sure you eat some vegetables too though..), do whatever makes you happy. Stop trying to get approval from everyone and do what you want to do. Sometimes giving someone space is what’s best for both of you, you will realize that you don’t need someone to make you happy, you can only make yourself happy. Believe in what you want to believe in, don’t let someone change your mind about the things that you love because of what someone else thinks. Be yourself..
