Jake Arrieta’s Encore By Carter Evans

On April 27th Chicago Cubs starter Jake Arrieta received an encore at Wrigley Field for the no-hitter against the Cincinnati Reds on April 21st. David Ross(catcher) is the one who caught the no-hitter for Arrieta. Jake Arrieta received his jersey from the Reds game, a watch, and pictures of the celebration of the no-hitter. That game would be a blow out the Cubs would win that 16-0. Arrieta would strikeout six and walk four. This is Jake Arrieta’s second career no-hitter, his last no-hitter came last year against the Los Angeles Dodgers. As of right now Jake Arrieta is 4-0 with a 0.87 era (earned run average). Jake Arrieta was one of worst pitchers in the MLB a couple years ago and now is one of the best pitchers in the MLB. The Orioles regret the trade ever since Jake became an elite pitcher of the MLB. He is 17-0 out of his last 18 starts and has a era of 0.52. Jake Arrieta has showed the MLB that he is the best pitcher in the MLB, but will he win the NL Cy Young award for the second straight year? We will have to see at the end of the year.
