Hammock accident kills Iowa girl, 13, just before graduation By Carter Evans

On May 18th, 13 year old Eren Sagun died of a hammock accident. She was on the hammock that was tied to a tree and a five-foot pillar of bricks. When her sister jumped on the hammock the pillar of bricks fell Eren. Eren’s father tried to do CPR on her, but she later died after being taken to the hospital. Police reports show that the pillar was secured to the ground and therefore it killed Eren. Eren´s 8th grade graduation was one week away and give her family a diploma, and to honor her at her 8th grade graduation ceremony. They don´t think it was foul play meaning it was on purpose.
