To kick off homecoming week on Wednesday September 14th, the school held a recreational volleyball tournament. To enter the competition each person had to pay two dollars and then they were in. The tournament consisted of six teams of six, and was ran with double-elimination, so if your team lost twice you were out.
The atmosphere in the gym was nothing less than fun. Once the games began the gym was filled with great competition. The majority of the teams were groups of friends which made the games more enjoyable. Losing did not even matter to some teams. Since there were only six teams the night went by fast. The team that came in second place were previously the defending champions of the Hunger Drive volleyball tournament. The winners of the homecoming games were a team the consisted of five seniors and 1 junior, and were presented with a trophy at our homecoming aud.
The next volleyball competition will be for this years Hunger Drive.
