Can Tom Brady Deflate This One?

With the Falcons beating the Packers, and the Patriots beating the Steelers (neither games were close), the “Experienced” Patriots will take on the “Red Hot” Falcons in Super Bowl LI.

Falcons (13-5) arguably have the best offense in the league, with one of the most versatile wide receivers, Julio Jones. They’ve done well, with a little help from some guy named Matt Ryan, who only broke a few records and is the first player in NFL history with 200+ passing yards in 50 consecutive games.  No big deal. On the other side, Tom Brady, in his 14th season as a starter, has earned 7 trips to the Super Bowl (and won 4 titles). Not much to say about him, though being 39 years old and still in your prime isn’t such a big deal.  Can Matt Ryan compete with the GOAT? Will the Patriots inflate their balls properly? We polled our school to find out what they think.

At our school 46 people voted on which team they thought would win, and it’s closer than you might of thought.  Of those polled, 57% think the Patriots will win, and 43% think that the Falcons will win. Adam Borcher is voting for “ The Patriots because their offense is way too explosive. Tom Brady is the GOAT (Greatest of all time) and will always be the GOAT.”

While most people have a favorite, some people, like Kade Schultz, argue that they just “Want it to be a good game.”  Schultz also added, “The Patriots have a great offense, but the Falcons have a really good, young defense. It will be a toss up, but I think The Falcons will take it home.”

Although the numbers come down to the Patriots, we will have to wait and find out on Sunday February 5th at 5:30 on Fox.
